Renowned filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar began his career as an assistant to film director Ashok Gaikwad and later landed up to Ram Gopal Verma. His fist directorial effort Trishakti went unnoticed on box office. However his next film Chandni Bar starring Tabu and Atul Kulkarni established him in top league directors winning his first National Filmfare Award.
Bhandarkar's forthcoming films like Satta, Page 3, Corporate, Traffic Signal and Fashion set him in front row of Bollywood's most favorite directors giving him international recognition. He is associated with International Film & TV Research Centre of the Asian Academy of Film and Television also.
