                          Meiyang Chang has changed many schools since childhood as he studied in Dhanbad, Dehradun, Mussoorie, and Bangalore. He got dentistry degree from V.S. Dental College & Hospital in Bangalore and is a qualified dentist.
                          
                          He ventured into fame by participating in Indian Idol 3, where he attained 5th place and bagged a contract with Sony Music India and went on to record an album Tu To Na Aayi. Then he anchored the fourth season of Indian Idol and went on to don the role of sports presenter in the second season of the Indian Premier League in South Africa.
                          
                          Later he forayed into films with YRF’s Badmaash Company. In 2011, he participated in the fourth season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and emerged as winner. He also plays one of the main leads Ashu in Pritish Nandy Communications’ unreleased The Seventeens.
