Hindi film actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui hails from a rural farmer family in Uttar Pradesh. He grew up amongst nine siblings counting seven brother and two sisters. He completed graduation in science from local college and joined a petrochemical company to earn his livelihood. Eventually he moved to Delhi where he met with Manoj Bajpai and Saurabh Shukla and graduated from The National School of Drama (NSD) before moving to Mumbai.
In 1999 Nawazuddin made his acting debut as an extra in the movie Shool. He had to wait long enough until Anurag Kashyap's Black Friday released in 2007. This film brought him recognition and appreciation from all corners.
He received overnight stardom enacting short tempered cop Khan in Vidya Balan's Kahaani (2012) and leading role in Gangs of Wasseypur - Part II. In coming days he will be seen in Aamir Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Kareena Kapoor starrer film Talaash, Dekh Indian Circus and horror thriller Aatma.
