Born in Delhi, Richa Chadda is a theatre actress who has spent many years of her life in Delhi. From schooling to higher education, she lived in Capital city with her parents, a management firm holder father and professor mother. She studied at Sardar Patel Vidyalaya and graduated from St. Stephen's College, Delhi with degree of Bachelors in History. She also attended a PG Diploma in Social Communication Media from Sophia College, Mumbai.
She made her cinematic debut in the critically acclaimed, commercial hit Oye Lucky Lucky Oye, opposite Abhay Deol, after which she signed National Award winning film Gangs of Wasseypur-Part 1 followed by Gangs of Wasseypur-Part 2. Her outstanding performance as Nagima Khatoon in the film was nominated for Filmfare Award Best Supporting Actress.
Her upcoming project includes, Tamanchay, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela and Mrighdeep Singh Lamba’s Fukrey.
