Ace actress Sudha Chandran is known for her courage, bravery and outstanding contribution in entertainment industry. She is an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer and completed her education with B.A from Mithibai College, Mumbai and subsequently an M.A in Economics. During her graduation period she lost her right leg in an accident in May 1981 near Trichy, Tamil Nadu.
To cope up with the harness she started her life with new dimensions, she turned herself as an actress and debuted with 1984 Telugu film Mayuri. She was awarded with Special Jury Award at the National Film Awards for her performance in Mayuri.
Becoming one of the most highly acclaimed dancers of the Indian subcontinent, she has also worked in daily soaps. In the serial, Kaahin Kissii Roz, she portrayed the character of Ramola Sikand which became an instant hit. She has also participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa on Sony TV.
She worked in many Hindi movies, few of them are like-Malamaal Weekly, Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain, Shola Aur Shabnam, Naache Mayuri .
