With the background of defense officers in family, Anushka Sharma did her schooling from Army School and graduated in specialization in Arts from Mount Carmal College, Banglore. Anushka always aspired of being a model but wasn’t so much into acting. She began her modeling career by Lakme Fashion Week as model for Wendell Rodrick’s Less Wamps show and made it to the Rodrick’s finale model at summer spring 07 collections.
She has also done ads for Silk & Shine, Whisper, Nathella Jewelry and Fiat Palio and many more. Her performance in her debut Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi was praised by Taran Aadarsh who stated, "Anushka looks the character and surprises you with a confident performance. It's no small achievement to share screen space with an actor of the caliber of SRK and Anushka manages it very well from start to end."
Her debut proved to be one of the highest grossing movies of the year and then she bagged many more projects in her line constantly like, Bamaash Company, Band Baaja Baarat, Patiala House and Ladies VS Rickey Bahl.
