Gang Of Wasseypur and Ek Thi Daayan fame Huma Qureshi, who has appeared in a short film titled Shorts, has often received flak for her weight. But the lady is game to lose weight if her role demands so.
All set to be seen in Shorts, it has been co-produced by Guneet Monga and Anurag Kashyap, Shorts has a social massage for all. It has five short stories director by Neeraj Ghaywan, Shlok Sharma, Siddharth Gupta, Anirban Roy and Rohit Pandey. The five short films are titled Sujata, Epilogue, Audacity, Mehfuz and Shor.
Apart from Huma, Shorts also feature Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Richa Chadda, Vineet Kumar Singh, Satya Anand, Ratnabali Bhattacharjee, Shweta Tripathi, Aaditii Khanna, and Preeti Singh. Currently, she is also busy promoting Nikhil Advani’s D-Day, where she will be seen performing heavy-duty stunts.
Talking about it, she says, “More than shooting difficult action sequences, trying to look like a RAW agent, keeping the character in mind, not forgetting the lines etc... There is so much synchronisation that happens when you do action scenes.”
Huma adds, “Besides action, there are cars blowing up, gunshots, blasts happening in the background and you don’t want to mess it up with (bad) performance... So all that is scary.” The actor says she has decided that until and unless a very good action film comes her way, she will not do one.
D-Day will see Arjun Rampal playing an ex-officer of an Indian Armed Forces unit, Irrfan Khan as an undercover RAW official, and Huma as an explosive expert.
